The mastermind behind Nirvana’s stunning design is Jessy Vikani, the general contractor, designer, and owner of the dispensary. Vikani, a force in the construction and design industry, has meticulously crafted a space that departs from the traditional dispensary aesthetic.
“We wanted to create an environment that feels warm, inviting, and fosters a sense of community,” says Vikani. “Gone are the sterile, brightly lit showrooms. Instead, we’ve incorporated soft lighting, natural textures, and curated art installations to create a calming and serene atmosphere.”
Vikani has partnered with Brittany Snyder, Chief Interior Designer at Design Studio 36, to bring her vision to life. “Jessy’s vision was truly inspiring,” says Snyder. “We’ve used a combination of organic materials, calming colors, and strategically placed artwork to create a space that feels both sophisticated and approachable.”
A Unique Focal Point: The Shiva-Buddha Mural
Adding to the captivating atmosphere is a one-of-a-kind mural created by Brooklyn-based muralist Liv. The mural is a unique fusion of Shiva and Buddha, symbolizing the harmony and balance Nirvana aims to cultivate within its space.
“We wanted the mural to represent the unity of mind, body, and spirit, which aligns perfectly with the potential benefits of cannabis use,” explains Vikani. “Liv’s artistic interpretation beautifully captures this essence and creates a conversation starter for our patrons.”
